- Why? I enjoy good fiction. I especially enjoyed your lengthy post. :)

- Oh. I was under the impression that it was produced by Dean Devlin and
- Roland Emmerich with 20th Century Fox.

- Oh... you believe me when I tell you that there are PLENTY of people left
- in the world to defend against! The wall fell, but there may be a return to
- communism. Middle Eastern countries are not only wealthy and strong and
- pissed off at the Western "infidels," but they're believed to be attempting
- to buy Nukes from collapsed -or near collapsed- governments of the former
- Soviet Union. They already possess a wide variety of chemical weapons and
- delivery systems. The Chinese (still quite Communist, BTW) are developing a
- nuclear technology and seem to be interested in retaking Taiwan.
-
- The list goes on, but the most likely opportunity to utilize defense
- spending in the near future is on the Korean Penninsula. North Korea is
- getting VERY unstable and the chances of them trying to "unite" with South
- Korea is far from unthinkable.
-
- There is much more.....
-
- Cheers!
